Cellulite Shorts

Cellulite Shorts – How Do They Work? Are They Effective?

Cellulite shorts are the newest thing to hit the market for women who are willing and ready to anything possible to get rid of that lumpy appearance on the back of their thighs and across their buttocks. Women have been combating this problem for generations, though women today seem to make a bigger deal out of cellulite than previous generations.

The question is clearly not whether women want to get rid of cellulite, but whether products like cellulite shorts will actually work. Many women have already put out good money on these shorts and similar products such as panty hose, and the results have been mixed. The reason some women get great results while others wear the shorts for months with little to no change in their cellulite is probably a reflection of the following:

* Genetics can be a primary cause of cellulite, making it much harder to get rid of for some women.

* Too much excess fat under the skin is a primary cause of cellulite and some women may continually pack on more fat as a result of lifestyle choices. Any improvements made with products like cellulite pantyhose and shorts will be undone with new fat deposits.

* Some women may have more estrogen and other hormones in the body which make cellulite harder to get rid of.

The exact cause of cellulite varies from one woman to another, as does the extent to which the cellulite can readily be seen by the eye. This is why some women find it much harder to get rid of their cellulite than others. In most cases, it never completely goes away but can drastically be improved in appearance with the right products and patience.

How They Work

Cellulite shorts are designed from different materials, with most fitting a lot like biker shorts made from spandex. They are believed to work by increasing circulation of blood to the cellulite-affected regions of skin. Many manufacturers also claim that they work by creating friction on the fat cells by pressing on them with rather rough textured fabrics.

Most shorts are designed to be layered underneath other clothing and some may require a lotion to be applied underneath them. The idea is to create heat and pressure on the area, thus leading to changes in the skin that will reduce the dimpled appearance.

What to Expect

You cannot wear a product like this and expect instant results. Most women will not be able to completely get rid of their cellulite, though most will see some changes within a month or two. It is important to come to the product with realistic expectations. While they should do something for you, they are not likely to completely get rid of all the cellulite on your body in a short period of time.

The best course of action is to use these shorts in combination with lifestyle changes to reduce the amount of stored fat in your body. There are no exercises that will get rid of cellulite directly, but by reducing your stored fat and shrinking those fat cells you can make great improvements in how your cellulite looks.

While cellulite shorts are not a direct remedy for cellulite, they should give most women enough results to make them worth wearing.
